As an international leader in the treatment of arthritis of the knee, Dr. Lonner is uniquely qualified in his experience with minimally invasive techniques for total knee, unicompartmental, patellofemoral, and bicompartmental replacements, as well as revision knee replacement surgery. Dr. Lonner is one of the first surgeons in the world to use robotic-assistance during knee replacement surgery and he continues at the forefront of developments in this area. He has been honored to care for patients from around the Delaware Valley, and as far away as the four corners of the United States, and South America, Europe, the Middle East, India, China, and Japan.

Dr. Lonner has been recognized both by his patients and peers for his commitment to providing outstanding surgical treatments and for his ability to teach the most cutting edge surgical techniques to surgeons from around the world.

After completing his specialty training, Dr. Lonner was appointed to the Orthopaedic faculty of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where he was an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and a surgeon for four years before joining Booth Bartolozzi Balderston Orthopaedics in 2001. At 3B Orthopaedics he was promoted to Director of Knee Replacement Surgery and then founded the Philadelphia Center for Minimally Invasive Knee Surgery in 2007 to further advance clinical care and research focused on the management of knee arthritis.

Dr. Lonner lectures extensively and has authored several textbooks and and over one hundred chapters and scientific publications. He has been a pioneer in minimally invasive knee replacement techniques and is an international authority on partial knee replacement surgery. In 2003, Dr. Lonner became a member of The Knee Society, considered by many to be an organization of the top 100 knee replacement surgeons. He has been on the design teams for several innovative orthopaedic implants and further contributes to the field through his work on the editorial boards of professional journals such as the American Journal of Orthopedics, Seminars in Arthroplasty, Journal of Arthroplasty and Techniques in Knee Surgery.
